WxDownload Fast is a download acceleration manager, of open code, that is compatible with Firefox. It uses multithread technology, so that it breaks a file into separate pieces, to download each piece separately, thus increasing download speed.

WxDownload Fast obviously has faster downloads (with Segmented/Multi-threaded/Accelerated transfers), download resuming (pause and restart where you stopped), download scheduling, it organizes files you have already downloaded, you can view server messages (HTTP, FTP, file:// but it has no HTTPS support), it's available in multiple languages and easily translated.
